If you are ready to start semi-private yoga instruction at your location, please complete the form on the right side of the page (or below, on mobile) to request a booking or quote.

One of the important functions of the form is to help determine if we will be a good fit for working together. If you have any questions before we get started, please feel free to include them in the form (there is a FAQ below & a FAQ specific to virtual instruction will be posted soon!). There is no obligation for inquiring.

If you are a new/prospective student, please feel free to fill out the form prior to scheduling your first session or consultation with me - I appreciate receiving this information ahead of time, and require it before our first session together anyway. Thank you!

Semi-Private/Small Group Yoga Instruction FAQ

  • Who do you work with semi-privately, and where?

Semi-private instruction is for 2 to 4 students.

In private spaces like residences, Airbnbs, VRBOs, etc.: I work with women, non-binary folx, couples of any gender, and co-ed/mixed-gender groups.

For groups of composed of only men (excluding couples): I require a more public place for us to work together, such as your condo’s gym, or I can arrange a venue rental for an additional fee. We can also work together virtually!

  • How should we prepare for our first session?

I ask that we have enough space to comfortably practice together, and to ensure that our space will remain distraction-free during our time. This may mean crating or putting pets in another room, asking your family to not disturb the session, turning your phone to silent, etc.

This maximizes the efficiency of our time together - preventing or minimizing distractions ahead of time is much appreciated!

If you are not sure that you have enough space, we can discuss that ahead of time via email or consultation.

Otherwise, all you need to do is make sure all participants have completed any intake forms I send you, prior to our first session. The further in advance I receive these documents, the better, as it allows me to plan for our first session together.

  • What do we need for our first practice?

    You just need yoga mats!

I recommend wearing comfortable, breathable clothes that are not too baggy.

Other helpful items: water bottles, blankets to fold and/or bolsters. If anyone has any other favorite props, feel free to have them ready!

  • We would like to receive yoga instruction on a consistent basis. Do you provide a discount for multiple sessions?

Wonderful! I highly recommend a regular yoga practice, especially if you have particular goals in mind.

I do provide discounts for students who commit to a consistent practice!

Options & pricing vary depending on the number of participants, how often you would like to receive instruction, the duration of each session, and your location.

Schedule a free consultation or contact me via email to discuss what your group is looking for.

  • What are your travel fees?

There are no travel fees for those who are located within 25 miles or 30-minutes of my location in Phoenix, 85035.

Applies to many areas within Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Avondale, Glendale, Litchfield Park, Tempe, Peoria, Goodyear, and Tolleson.

(Some areas may not apply, depending on the distance/travel time).

  • Do you travel to [city in AZ]? It's not within your included travel distance/time.

If the travel distance is over 25 miles or if the travel time is longer than 30-minutes, there is a reasonable travel fee added to your session(s). We can discuss this in more detail during your (optional) free consultation or via email.

Once I know where your requested location is, I will know if a travel fee will be required for distance. As we know, travel times can vary greatly in the Phoenix area. I estimate the travel time by using your address, your requested day(s) and time(s), and Google Maps’ depart/arrive time feature. (Consider the rush hour times!) This way I can provide you with a more accurate estimate ahead of time, for your approval.

Examples of cities that fall into this category may include: Cave Creek, Carefree, Anthem, Fountain Hills, Gilbert, Chandler, and certain areas of Scottsdale, Mesa, and Peoria.

  • Why do you provide props, like blocks and straps, for no added cost?

Simply because I care about your safety. Students should never have to choose between paying extra for props they may need or possibly hurting themselves/pushing themselves farther than their bodies are ready to go. I have moral qualms about charging extra to use props like these, unlike many other teachers and mobile companies.

I also want you to get the best practice that you can. I truly believe in the value that props offer students - they are often necessary to help get you into some poses! Even if someone is able to do a pose, props can still be helpful. Similarly, many students think they are not capable of doing a certain pose, but they really just need some additional support from props to get them there. Everyone has their own feelings about using props, so it is your choice to utilize them or not. Just know that they are available and I will offer guidance on how to use them to modify poses.

Or just ignore the props! That’s okay too - this is your yoga practice.

  • Do you work with larger groups?

I specialize in working with individuals and small groups.

Small group instruction is typically intended for 5 to 10 students, depending on the topic & nature of the course. These are delivered in the format of a single class, class series, or workshop. (Note: Small group instruction is separate, or different from, semi-private instruction. Stay tuned for a page dedicated to small group instruction services!)

Small group instruction may be requested, and personalized to meet the needs of your group. Sessions may be hosted at your location if suitable, or I can find a venue to reserve for our time if needed (additional fee).

I am open to working with up to 15 students. Let me know how I can help your group have an awesome experience, anywhere in the Phoenix metro area!
