about the yoga teacher

Amy f.

I'm a Certified Yoga Teacher in Phoenix, Arizona. I teach Vinyasa (flow) and Hatha yoga from a trauma-informed lens.

My yoga teacher training was heavily focused on anatomy expertise, proper technique tailored to each individual's physiology, modifications to adapt poses, and overall evidence-based practices. Feeling integrated and well in one's body takes precedence over going as fast as one can, perfect alignment, or choosing the most difficult variations. I continue to carry on these values as a teacher myself.

I aim to make sure you get a well-rounded and safe practice at your pace.

Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Certified Vinyasa Yoga Teacher (200-hour): Jason Crandell Yoga Method

  • Trauma-Informed Yoga (40-hour)

  • CPR/First Aid/AED

  • B.S. in Biological Sciences (Neurobiology, Physiology, & Behavior)

  • B.S. in Psychology

  • Former competitive artistic gymnast

  • Former recreational gymnastics teacher

Additionally, I have a Level I Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.

(To obtain this card, I passed a background check that DPS conducted on my criminal history at both the state and national (i.e., FBI) levels. A Level I card is more restrictive and harder to obtain than a standard fingerprint clearance card.)

Your sacred space is where you can find yourself again and again.
